FlowerBox adds Blumebox to its floral arrangement

FlowerBox, an innovative flower vase company specializing in colorful, smart, recyclable flower vases, has added to its arrangement with the acquisition of Blumebox.

Founded in Portland more than 10 years ago, Blumebox was one of the first companies to spread the concept of cardboard flower vases.

Available in a wide variety of styles and colors, Blumebox vases took off with both florists and consumers soon after they were introduced. FlowerBox's purchase of the company will ensure that Blumebox's distinctive designs and products will continue to be available to longtime and new customers alike.

"This is really an exciting acquisition for us and for all our customers," said Travis Rigby, president of FlowerBox. "We know that the Blumebox name and products are well respected and appreciated in the industry, so to be able to integrate them in with FlowerBox is a big win all-around."

As a result of Blumebox becoming part of FlowerBox, the company's popular cardboard vases will continue to be available to customers who've come to rely on their stylish designs, ease of use and earth-friendly materials. The vases range in size, including 4 inches, 5.5. inches, 6 inches and 8 inches. Made of 100 percent recyclable cardboard, the vases come flat and pop up quickly. They also come with plastic bags to hold water and can be personalized for any event.

"We could not be happier about this move, and I think our customers will feel the same," said Rigby. "There is a lot of great energy going on at FlowerBox right now, and bringing Blumebox online with us only adds to that. We're looking forward to a great future."

Headquartered in Portland, Ore., FlowerBox specializes in recyclable cardboard vases that are a snap to put together and can be folded back down to be stored between uses. The wide array of colors makes it easy to match a FlowerBox to the color scheme of a flower arrangement or the theme of an entire event. The clean lines and vibrant color of a FlowerBox help to save on flower costs, and the added boost of color and style makes even a small bouquet seems bigger. Made of earth-friendly materials, FlowerBoxes can be recycled, so customers can feel good about recycling their FlowerBoxes instead of letting them collect dust for eons to come.
