Venetian Blue Bagless FlowerBox Design

Today we’re learning how to create this venetian blue 8” Bagless FlowerBox using Hydreangea and blue iris.

First, fold each side of the box at the bottom to loosen along the score marks, and make it easier to fold. Then, fold in the corners along one side of the box. Take the tape strip off, and then tape over the two corners, finishing one side. Be sure to do the opposite side next. It makes this whole process so much easier! Next, go to the remaining sides of the box, and do the same. The last fold is the hardest, but I promise, once you’ve done one of these vases, the rest will be a snap! Once completed, you can add water to the vase. Yup. It’s completely waterproof, no bag needed!

To start the design, I add hydrangea to act as my armature which will hold the flowers in place as I design. Next I add the roses in for romance and texture. Hypernicum adds a great color contrast. Then I begin adding white stock to start to create height in my arrangement. Next comes the bells of Ireland. They tie beautiful with my hypernicum, and build my final height.

Finally, some blue iris bring the blue of the vase up into the design, and a couple of sprigs of curly willow finish it out.

I love this tower of spring time. The colors and textures are unique and make the perfect gift. What’s more, with this  FlowerBox, there’s no plastic bag and it’s fully recyclable. Your customers will really appreciate just how green you are!
